Once upon a time…
As true tea ‘freaks’ we have always been mad about tea drinking, but there came a time when the traditional cup of ‘Rosie Lee’, just didn’t have the same appeal as it once did. We grew tired of the herbal teas on offer, because they never tasted as good as they smelt. The promise of the aroma always seemed to be dashed. What was more, we sometimes even stumbled across suspect flavourings. The herbal teas were always disappointingly found in (bleached) tea bags and seemed to be made of unidentifiable ingredients. This couldn’t be right, we thought. How could something natural, a gift from Mother Nature not be an amazing tea drinking experience?
Blessed Tea’s creator is a passionate homeopath and yoga teacher who uses herbs in her practice and is also a yoga teacher. It was an interest in health and well-being that inspired Blessed Tea and sparked the avid interest in drinking herbal infusions that not only contained little or no caffeine, but which also contained health benefits.
Tea is our passion and we’re boiling over with enthusiasm to deliver to you the finest quality infusions to you – it’s our belief that it’s everyone’s right to have a fantastic tea drinking experience! We’ve worked very hard at Blessed tea to ensure that each blend tastes great and combines the finest quality ingredients with imagination.
Drinking herbal tea infusions in their purest form, using natural high quality herbs, allows the drinker to engage with the contents of the blend, connecting to nature and its splendour. Drinking tea in a traditional way, by allowing time for the infusion to steep enhances the tea drinking process creating a small ceremony. We think that our teas are well worth the wait!

Integrity
We might be a new entrant to the tea world, but we’ve got stacks of passion, creativity and knowledge when it comes to making a fantastic infusion. We make bringing you fine quality infusions our mission! In fact, our Digest blend has scooped a gold award at the Great Taste Awards 2010!
Quality
You won’t find any dust in our blends, just fine quality herbs! We also use whole leaf and whole herbs whenever we can. The creator of Blessed Tea is a qualified homeopath, so you can be assured each blend will benefit your well-being and will also dazzle the senses, visually and most importantly taste exquisite.
Natural
You can be assured that there aren’t any nasties in our tea, there’s no need for artificial ingredients as we use only fine quality herbs.
Ethics
We source our ingredients as locally as we can. At the moment we don’t blend black tea, so we don’t deal with tea estates, but if we did, we’d make it our mission to ensure that we would ensure that the tea growers provide a good social and work environment for their workers and that we would buy at a fair price.
Environment
It is our belief that we need to love and respect Mother Nature – we are mindful of this and we want to adopt packaging solutions that are environmentally friendly. We pledge to continue to improve things whenever and wherever we can.
Charity
We know the importance in giving. 5% of profits go to Mata Amritanandamayi Devi’s (Amma) humanitarian charity. Amma has inspired innumerable humanitarian activities all over the world. They include free food and clothing programs, charitable hospitals, hospices, disaster relief programs, free homes for the poor and the needy, medical camps, orphanages, schools, educational institutions, widows' pension scheme, free legal advice, preservation of nature and so on. Mantras
Mantras are Sanskrit (one of the most ancient languages known), formulas specifically tuned to activate chakras with great effect. They are mystical ancient resonances that invoke an increase of spiritual energy and abilities.
